GENERAL MEDICINE

Medicine is a scientific field of interest to the health and well-being of living beings, first to human health and then to animal health. The word medicine comes from Latin and means remedium, and the term ars medicine is used as an art of healing.

It is based on two principles: theoretical research and practical, or often called clinical, principles.

The theoretical and research principle will enable a specific area, disease, congenital defect or condition to be defined, studied in detail and sent to conclusions after the tests have been performed. Concluded medical theory is most often put into practical form through various educational processes, which will lead to the ultimate goal – to improve the health of living forms on which this theory will be applied.

All of the above makes medicine a combination of the scientific and the practical, because in addition to the theoretical basis, there are a number of techniques, products, procedures, plans and other definitions in medicine that are most capable of keeping life healthy or re-making it if it is not.

DENTISTRY

As a specific medical branch and activity, dentistry is studied scientifically and practically with the aim to train dentists – doctors of dentistry.

The great shortage of dental professionals sets us the goal of scientifically and practically training dentists for future work. Such doctors who will be able to integrate equally into the labor market, both in the region and in the countries of the European Union in which our medical professionals are highly respected and valued. The goals we need to achieve are for our students, in addition to superior knowledge and skills, to adopt the highest standards of ethical and moral norms.

PHARMACY

Pharmacy as a science falls within the field of Biomedicine and Health and is a scientific field of a broader scientific scope. This affiliation predominantly characterizes pharmacy as a science to which man and his health are the subject of study, but the rope focuses on the study of medicine as such. Therefore, pharmacy becomes a multidisciplinary science that includes both basic and advanced knowledge in the fields of medicine, chemistry and biology, as well as some other natural sciences, such as physics, botany and mathematics. This definition of pharmacy indicates the need for continuous and comprehensive acquisition of knowledge, not only in the field of medicine, but also from other related natural sciences. Therefore, studying and dealing with this science becomes extremely demanding and complex.

The pharmaceutical industry has always represented, and this is especially the case in recent decades, one of the most propulsive and profitable industries. By finding and introducing the so-called smart medicines that are produced by genetic engineering techniques and processes used in biotechnology, the need to develop and acquire new knowledge as quickly as possible is further emphasized.

This refers not only to molecular biology and biotechnology, but also to the delivery and testing of the quality of these highly sophisticated drugs, but also to the continued monitoring of the safety of such drugs.

The need to deepen knowledge in each area of the drug industry is compounded by the fact that the pharmaceutical industry, after the aviation industry, is the second, most strictly regulated industry in the world.
