ARCHITECTURE

Architecture is the art of building, planning, designing and producing a variety of objects with different functions: for living, vacations, recreation, education, business and many other activities. The broader definition encompasses other branches, from design and planning of environmental development, to the design of furniture and other products.

Architecture is multidisciplinary because it integrates mathematics, science, art, technology, social sciences, politics, history, philosophy and other sciences. As Vitruvius puts it, “Architecture is a science that originates from many other sciences, and which is embellished with many and varied teachings; used to evaluate those works that are the result of other arts. ” He also thinks that an architect should have a good knowledge of music, astronomy, etc. Philosophy is very important among them. Talking about the approach of an architect it’s often referred to his “philosophy”.
